The Fruits Of The Spirit
Love - Joy - Peace - Patience -Kindness - Goodness - Faithfulness - Gentleness - Self-Control

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

(Galatians 5:22-23)

The fruit of the Spirit is the result of unbroken fellowship with Jesus Christ. Our constant communion with Him in our Christian walk is what produces this fruit. As we continue to spend more time with Jesus, the fruit will grow.

(John 15:4-5) “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing."

The fruit of the Spirit is evidence of a life controlled by the Holy Spirit. We can live a life so controlled by the Holy Spirit that we will not yield to the desires of the flesh. We must dominate the old selfish nature because that nature is the enemy of Christ and brings us into bondage.

(Matthew 7:16-20) “You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they?
Even so, every good tree bears good fruit; but the bad tree bears bad fruit.
A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
So then, you will know them by their fruits.”

We will recognize people not by their works nor by their gifts, but by their fruit. What type of fruit a person has reveals how Spirit led they are.

Are you dominated by your flesh or by the Holy Spirit? Let the life of Jesus Christ, ministered to us by the Holy Spirit, flow through us so we can bear good fruit.
