Pastor Joseph A. Sottile, a Man of the
Word
Pastor Joseph A. Sottile, senior pastor and
founder of Powered By Christ Church from New York, came to know the Lord
Jesus Christ in the year 1984. The Lord quickly imparted to him a
compassion for the lost and a zeal for His work. He believes as it says in
John 14:6 "Jesus said unto him 'I am the way, the truth and the life'".
Pastor Sottile was ordained in 1993. The name of the church, Powered By Christ, is from Phil 4:13 AMP: We can do all things through Christ who empowers us". Pastor Sottile has ministered in the United States, Guyana, Suriname, various Caribbean nations, Africa, India and England. Pastor Sottile's calling encompasses salvation followed by signs, wonders and miracles and perfecting the saints through Jesus Christ. He attributes successful ministry to prayer, fasting and the study and meditation of the Word of God.
Over the last 20 years, the power of God's hand has been upon Pastor Sottile. With the true love of Christ, he ministers with compassion to the whole man, spirit, soul and body. He is a pastor, leader and friend to all who know him. He will not compromise the Word of God. The revelation of God's Word has challenged people to mature in the ways of the Lord. He will show you that nothing is impossible with Jesus Christ, for "greater is He that is in us (Jesus Christ) than he who is in the world".
